The Hungry Eye: Musicians
Portraits by:jorgerubiaphotography
“Young, charismatic and, above all, incredibly talented - Alliz and Vicente. This young couple have been awarded study grants for the Boston school of music in recognition to their passion and dedication. Amazing to see young people today getting ahead in the arts through sheer talent and drive.”- Jorge Rubia, Photographer, Cape Town
This is such a beautiful idea!
If it was made with old manuscript paper instead of a book, I think it could make a great Album cover for “A Dance Through Time”.

Sarabande: Originally a seductive theatrical dance performed by women, the form traces back to 16th Century Spain.
The music was considered just as seductive as demonic and was soon prohibited as a dance form. The style and form were later tamed by the French in the 17th Century. The French Sarabande became grave-processional music in the French court of Louis XIV.

Inspiration Motivation : A Dance Through Time
I’m exploring music written for dance and compiling an audio-illustration of dance styles and their cultures throughout centuries.
Passion tangos, drunken gigs, waltzes, mazurkas, minuets and ceremonial dances…
Listen-read-look-respond to my findings and help me build an illuminating audio journey.
